AGRC has a statewide coverage of 1-meter resolution Black and White Digital Orthophoto Quads (DOQs). They are in compressed JPEG format. The images have a NAD83 datum but are accompanied by NAD27 world files in addition to NAD83 world files. If a NAD27 image is desired simply rename the _83.jpg file to _27.jpg ie. rename q9999_83.jpg to q9999_27.jpg. All tiles have a UTM Zone 12 North meters projection.
When downloading DOQs from the FTP site you will need to hold the shift key down and clicking the file or right-clicking the file and “Copy to Folder” or “Save Target As” depending on your browser. The .zip file is usually between 30 to 40 MB. Make sure the software you are using has the extension to view JPEG images turned on. The .met file is all the original header information from the image and contains the dates the images were flown and photographed.
Some DOQs have 2 vintages of dates the images were flown. Usually one image will be from 1993 and another 1997 or newer. To retrieve these file go to the FTP site and look for the files with _OLD.zip associated with the Q number of interest. Refer to Find_a_DOQ.txt for quadrangle names and associated AGRC Q number.
