The code below is being added to taskresult nodes somehow. I haven't looked into it very closely at all. It's javascript and probably embedded within the taskresult control itself which is unfortunately hidden from you. I wasn't able to find a switch to disable that so a way around would be to not use the taskresult control. Otherwise look at the nodes maybe and see if there's a switch somewhere.

this may be of some interest to you as well

ESRI Server Forum

esriContextMenus['Results_TaskResults1_removeOnlyContextMenu'] = new esriContextMenuObject('Results_TaskResults1_removeOnlyContextMenu',...

OK. Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I'll look at it more this afternoon.

I haven't modified the context menu, just looking to get rid of the tooltip on the results panel which says "right click for context menu."
I can find the tooltip text for the actual tools, but not the results.
I sort of thought it would be in the .js files, but can't find it.

How did you add the context menu functionality? I haven't added context menus to the TOC myself, but after checking out some samples I'd look for code that says "node.ToolTip =" to find where the tooltip is added to each node and comment it out.

Let us know if this helps.

That sounds like something for Barry Biediger or Steve Gourley, I'll poke them with a stick and see if we can get a response posted on the forum.

Right click menu in web application 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Have you found the pop up "Right Click for Context Menu" in the web app panel for results to be overkill? I think it gets in the way when users are mousing around. Then they right click on the wrong thing and get the IE context menu, not the Zoom option as they should. There must be a better way to describe what the user should do than the annoying hover box. How would one disable this hover item in the code?
Thanks
