One Week
until the
ESRI Southwest Users
Group Regional Conference

Pueblo Convention Center and Sangre de Cristo Arts Center
Pueblo, Colorado
October 21-23, 2009 www.swug2009.org

Dear Wyoming GIS,

The ESRI SWUG conference is next week, October 21-23. It will be a great week of
diverse presentations from attendees from all the southwestern states! Outstanding
keynotes and ESRI workshops will round out the offerings. The economy hasn't hurt
this conference, join your fellow-professionals! Learn! Have fun!

Please see the finalized Conference Schedule for details and REGISTER!

Conference Special Events

We know you don't go to conferences for the food and socials, but you'll enjoy what
SWUG has to offer this year. Arrive on Tuesday night to take in local art and music in
an open atmosphere at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center. Network in style while
roaming several floors of galleries to the upbeat folk-rock tunes of Denver's own
"MOD Dogs".

There is plenty to do in Pueblo. The forecast is for mild weather in the 60s. Go to the
Italian market, take a hike, tour a train. Things to Do in Pueblo When You're Dead!
(Dead-tired of conference activities, that is.)

Pueblo is becoming a hub for sustainable technology. To honor that, all coffee served
will be from the uber-cool Solar Roast Coffee. The coffee shop is a couple blocks up
from the conference center. Stop in and talk to the eclectic owners and taste the
difference!

Don't Know Much About History??
Pueblo has a diverse history from Utes to Hungarians. Join us on Wednesday night
for the vendor social which will feature cuisine from many segments of Pueblo's
diverse population. Where else will you get salsa and perogis in the same meal?

We'll be combining history and fun with the social on the last night as we dine in
the historic fort where it all began. The adobe hornos will be lit and docents will be
on hand to answer questions. Read up beforehand at El Pueblo Museum. Bring
your coats, this is mostly an outdoor event!
There's more fun planned too -- see Special Events for details. If you have questions,
our contact info is at the bottom of this email.
We really hope to see you next week!
