Written by Bert Granberg,

This powerpoint presentation was presented to the 2008 National States Geographic Information Council (NSGIC) annual conference at Keystone, Colorado (Sept '08).

Utah GIS Portal: Highlights from the First 9 Months.

Presentation Abstract:

The Utah GIS Portal was created through a partnership between the Automated Geographic Reference Center (AGRC), the Utah GIS Advisory Committee (GISAC), and the Utah Geographic Information Council (UGIC), Utah's statewide 501c3 GIS users group.

The portal, built on the Joomla open source content management system, provides web-based access to GIS data, resources including code samples, event, and coordination information. To date, the portal has a user database of over 1300 registered users and receives around 200K visits per month.

An RSS feed for the portal is included as part of the State GIS News section of the NSGIC Blog.
