ii.Delivered through National Telecommunications and Information Administration, each state would submit a Statement of Work describing how it would gather, consolidate and improve on the broadband coverage found in its state.
iii.Public Service Commission was determined to be the eligible entity, or the project management agency.
iv.AGRC will be the agency to collect and analyze data about the broadband service throughout the state and incorporate it into a dataset showing where there are adequate broadband services and where the service is lacking or underserved.
v.DTS will then look at areas that underserved or where full service broadband compatibility is not available and determine how to increase the service through this grant.
vi.After it is determined an entity has underserved or no broadband service, the entity can apply for grants from PSC that will sublimate from the moneys of the overall grant.
vii.The grant looks at not only residential areas but also public safety organizations, schools, libraries, community colleges, universities, etc.
viii.A contractor or contractors will be hired to go out and work with providers of broadband throughout the state and report back to the AGRC with the information about the service
ix.Much of the data will be of a sensitive manner. The AGRC will be the only department to see any of the raw data. The confidentiality will be kept by striping of any sensitive information from the data before it is made public
x.There shouldn’t be a problem with getting contact information for AGRC
