Doesn't look like these comments are noticed but for what it's worth, I would vote to have this page be able to sort by name or number WITHIN or without County. I see that others have said this as well.

Sorry we missed the earlier suggestion from Monte. We usually try to respond ASAP in to incoming comments.

We'll certainly take your request under consideration. We put county classification field in originally just so folks could differentiate between quads with similar names (like White Rock Peak, White Rock Point, and White Rocks.

The 'county' classification is a tough one to work with because of the many to many relationship between counties and quads. If we just go by quad center, as it is now, then it wouldn't be a complete list for each county. If we show all the quads for each county then the list will contain duplicates and will get bigger and even slower to work with.

One thing that you can do right now is select the text that makes up the table on this page and hit CTRL-C to copy the selected text. Then open up an blank MS Excel spreadsheet and from the Edit menu, select 'Paste Special' and select 'As: Text'. This will paste the table into Excel so it honors the column definitions. Then from the Data menu, you can use Sort in Excel to do any multi-column sort you want.
