Are you aware of another parcel dataset for Salt Lake County that is maintained by the SL Co Assessors office? We have used parcel data from AGRC in the past, but just became aware of this data the Assessors office has which in some areas is different from what is available here.

Thanks,
Dave

Should be the same dataset as AGRC gets our data from SL County...probably a data currency issue if I were to speculate.

Based on the number of discrepencies, I'm not sure that its a concurrency issue (unless its been a long time since AGRC has received data from SL County)

In conversations with the GIS contact at the SLCo Assessor's office, he indicated that the AGRC data comes from the Recorders office and not the Assessor. I am trying to determine which dataset has the more accurate parcel information... the Assessors office was not willing to claim they had the most accurate data.

The data from AGRC is quite different from what is available here:

David,
We have been updating the county parcel data on an annual basis and we are just nearing the end of the cycle. This means the data available for Salt Lake County Parcels is nearly a year old, so you may see several discrepancies. As far as the difference in the Assessors data and the Recorders data goes, I don't have an answer. You will need to talk to the stewards of that data to make a determination.
Thanks
