A GIS data layer shows the names and Q Numbers for each quad in the state. This can be downloaded in shapefile format from: ftp://ftp.agrc.utah.gov/

Download this kml application for Google Earth. Under the "places" box there will be a 'USGS 24k Topographic Index' layer under 'Temporary Places' Choose your state under Topo Index States and then soom to your area. Hi when you click on the i it will give you the name, ect then find that name on the GIS Portal here.
