The Postal Service is announcing three new ZIP Codes in the Lehi, Herriman and Riverton areas to be effective July 1, 2006. Changes have been made to the Utah SGID's 5 digit zip code polygon on AGRC's SDE database server. This dataset has also been renamed to <strong>SGID.U024.ZipCodes</strong> (formerly SGID.U024.ZipCodes2004).

In summary,

84065 divided into --> 84065 (Riverton) & 84096 (Herriman)
84043 divided into --> 84043 (Lehi), 84005 (Eagle Mtn), & 84045 (Sarasota Springs).

The Riverton Post Office will receive a new ZIP Code, 84096, that will affect over 6,500 mailing addresses for the current ZIP 84065 in the Herriman area. This delivery area is west of Bangerter Hwy. from 11800 South to 13400 South; then west on 13400 to 4800 West where the boundary heads south to the foothills. The area for the new ZIP 84096 will be given the mailing name Herriman, UT 84096.  Those customers in the new 84096 ZIP code who reside in Riverton City may use Riverton, UT 84096.  The affected customers will continue to have their mail delivered out of the Riverton Post Office.

There will be two new ZIP Codes for the current Lehi Post Office delivery area.  Residents who live in Eagle Mountain and currently receive mail with the 84043 ZIP will have their address changed to ZIP Code 84005.  The 84005 ZIP will affect over 3,000 delivery addresses and include the current city of Eagle Mountain beginning at the east city boundary on State Road/Hwy. 73 (Cedar Fort Rd.).  The mailing name will be Eagle Mountain, UT 84005.  The mail will still be delivered from the Lehi Post Office.

The Saratoga Springs area of the 84043 ZIP Code will receive the new ZIP Code 84045.  The delivery area for 84045 will be Hwy. 68/Redwood Rd. and west from 10400 N to 8570 N (Hwy.73/Main St).  The delivery area is then bounded by the Jordan River on the east and continues south through all of Saratoga Springs on both sides of Hwy 68 south to Pelican Point.  The new ZIP 84045 will affect 2,500 delivery addresses and the mailing name will be Saratoga Springs, UT 84045. Mail delivery for Saratoga Springs 84045 will continue to come from the Lehi Post Office.
