AGRC is nearing the completion of the migration of the SGID from ArcGIS 9.1 to ArcGIS 9.2. Users who have upgraded to ArcGIS 9.2 will be able to access the SGID vector data by continuing to connect to the SGID as in the past. Users who have not upgraded to ArcGIS 9.2 should consider upgrading as available under their ESRI maintenance contract. This will allow SGID users to take advantage of the new acces, functionality, and services that will be coming on line. However, to provide time for users to upgrade, a separate link to the 9.1 version of ArcGIS SGID will be maintained until Feb. 28, 2007. It should be noted that for this version of SGID, data will be static and not updated. The major change with this upgrade is how users access imagery; imagery will be accessed from Image Server. Image Server is a new ESRI product that AGRC is implementing to serve imagery in a much more efficient manner. The original date for the switch of the SGID to 9.2 was December 12th. AGRC has made good progress and the database is ready, however the software for serving the imagery will not be available to AGRC until the 12th. As a result AGRC has found it necessary to delay the full switch over until Monday, December 18th. To better serve SGID users who have upgraded or will be upgrading to ArcGIS 9.2, AGRC requests that you send an email to
