2006 Imagery Acquisition Update PDF Print E-mail

Written by AGRC Administrator,

AGRC received the final version of the one-meter natural color orthoimagery (NAIP) in a TIF format and is preparing the data to be served through Image Server.   The compressed county mosaics in Mr.SID format is available on the AGRC ftp site: ftp://ftp.agrc.utah.gov/NAIP/NAIP2006/.

Statewide one-meter color infrared (CIR) was received March 9th and is being inspected by the USGS as part of the quality checking.  State partners and interested agencies will also be inspecting the CIR. If you are interested in participating in that review please reply to this email.

Iron County LiDAR areas - Delivery due 3/16; Next step is quality checking by USGS.

Wasatch County LiDAR areas - Delivery due 3/23; USGS will also quality check this data when received.

All other high resolution imagery -- We do not have specific delivery dates as of yet.  The data will be delivered in a number of separate deliveries based on processing blocks.  The vendor has indicated that the processing is at various stages for these blocks and is not able to provide area specific dates at this point.  We are also very eager to get a schedule of delivery dates and have started daily communications with the vendor.

Statewide 5-meter DEM - Processing has started; still testing the parameter settings to achieve better product.  The intent is to use the LiDAR data to improve the accuracy of this DEM.

New SGID Layer: GAP Vegetation Classification PDF Print E-mail

Written by AGRC Administrator,

Southwest ReGAP is a polygon-based vegetation classification dataset that has been derived from multi-spectral analysis of Landsat satellite data. The Southwest ReGAP Vegetation dataset has been added to the SGID 9.2 ArcSDE Database Server. This new layer is called SWreGAP and is located in the U100.Vegetation feature dataset. The original data was in raster format, and is still available at the USU website http://earth.gis.usu.edu. The raster data was converted to a polygon dataset by the Division of Wildlife Resources for analyzing habitat.

This dataset is currently only on the 9.2 SDE database server. It will be available in file-based data formats (SHP & file-based GDB) in the coming weeks on AGRC's ftp server.
