Several small changes have been made to the current SGID.U024 Municipalities boundary layer. Small overlaps were found between North Ogden and Ogden; Riverton & Herriman; and Draper (SLCo portion) and Draper (UTCo portion).
In addition, the Draper polygons contained tangent curve and circular curve segments. These curves did not correspond to the county boundary that they were intended to be coincident with so they were converted to line segments to match the county boundary. This should improve spatial query and spatial relationship editing functions like 'Intersect.'
The old, deprecated feature classes in SGID.U100.Environmental feature dataset have finally been deleted from the SGID database server. They have been superceded by data in SGID.DEQDERR_EDIT.Environmental feature dataset that is updated nightly in a geospatial format from DEQ-DERR's microsoft access database. The same data is available for display and query on AGRC's atlas.utah.gov internet map server. The URL for this site is: http://atlas.utah.gov/deqderr
These dataset include information about: Underground storage tanks, CERCLIS sites, Voluntary Cleanup Sites, National Priority List sites, Brownfields, and TRI sites.
The U100.Administration.LandOwnershipCategories has been improved and moved to U024.Administration.LandOwnership. The SITLA,BLM, and the counties of Utah have been jointly working on this layer. Expect to see many improvements in the near future. Other layers that have been updated are the Conservation Easements, located in U024.Administration.ConservationEasements. Jacob Callister was instrumental in the updates to the data and also a rewrite of the metadata. Recently added to the U024.CulturalFeatures is an Emergency Regions feature class and also a updated Schools feature class.
The Postal Service is announcing three new ZIP Codes in the Lehi, Herriman and Riverton areas to be effective July 1, 2006. Changes have been made to the Utah SGID's 5 digit zip code polygon on AGRC's SDE database server. This dataset has also been renamed to SGID.U024.ZipCodes (formerly SGID.U024.ZipCodes2004).
