If you attending the 2009 UGIC Conference, the UGIC board is looking for a few volunteers to help with conference activities. Here is the information:
Call for Conference Session Moderators
Looking to become more involved in this years UGIC Conference? Volunteers are needed to serve as Session Moderators. You would be assigned to a room for two breakout sessions (90 minutes total). You will be responsible to coordinate with the session speaker(s) to provide introductions if required and to make sure the speakers have everything they need for their presentations. If any assistance is needed, you would serve as a runner to communicate with the UGIC Board member in charge of the session block. Please contact James Wingate at

Call for Educator GIS Workshop Volunteers
Volunteers needed to assist UEN Instructors with this years UGIC Conference Educator GIS Workshop. If you would like to volunteer your time to help educators with either GPS and/or ArcGIS ArcView hands on training please contact Kevin Sato at

The workshop is being held on Wednesday, April 15th. GPS training would be from 10:30 to Noon and ArcView training would be from either 1:30 to 3:30 PM or from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. UGIC Conference attendance is not required.
