Geographic Information Systems (GIS) resources include GIS data and standards, GIS training, GIS servers and services for users of GIS in Utah. Utah's State Geographic Information Database (SGID) includes over 300 layers of GIS data. These layers attempt to represent the geometry of geographic features using georeferenced points, lines, polygons, or raster/pixel cells together with text-based attributes that describe each feature. Data in the SGID can be downloaded in file-based products or accessed via a remote connection to the SGID data servers. More information about SGID resources can be found using these links. Other GIS resource links include training sources, programming code for GIS procedures and processes, and The Utah Reference Network Global Positioning System (TURN GPS) network for real-time map or survey grade differential correction
