Emergency response

911 dispatch centers (aka public safety answering points, or PSAPs) in Utah have significantly enhanced their life-saving capabilities by partnering with UGRC for GIS data. We are proud to be a part of this critical public service.

UGRC offers a multitude of benefits crucial for efficient emergency response. First and foremost, we provide access to the standardized, authoritative, and up-to-date geospatial datasets fundamental to call routing and emergency response. These include address points, road center lines, and municipal boundaries.

Looking beyond data, we also offer technical support and fostering collaboration between the PSAPs.

Integrating GIS

When GIS becomes part of your business processes at any point, it opens the door to a greater perspective and understanding of your area of influence and helps you answer questions with greater locational clarity, thereby enabling you to deploy your resources more effectively and efficiently. For many years, and over a wide variety of subjects and situations, UGRC has helped state and local governments in Utah integrate GIS into their business processes for improved public service.
